*NOTE* I AM THE WRITER OF THIS GUIDE. Maps go to Runehq though. If you or a mod decides that these maps should not be used, i will gladly change them for my own. Also, post any corrections if you bothered to actually read such a long post.*

Sorry, currently making maps atm, can't use RuneHQ's.

Ha well, one thing I gotta say is that this quest can be easy with or without prayer. Of course though, it was much easier with protect from melee. =\

Required Supplies:Lots of Shantay passes, about 1000gp, 12 Magic logs, 6 Steel bars, 6 Molten glass, Ashes, Charcoal, 1 Blood rune, Regular bones, Cake, Super restore potions, Spiked boots, Climbing boots, Garlic, Lockpicks (I'd say about 10, but I suggest you buy at least 25 or so incase you're incredibly unlucky) , 1 Silver bar, Spice, Pestle and mortar, Facemask, Tinderbox, Waterskins, Knife, and Energy potions.

*note* Also have around 10 super restores, 20 super energies, a few antipoisons,at least 150 sharks, and many many runes at hand to fight the bosses.

Travel to the Bedabin Camp and talk to the Archaeologist next to the Rug Merchant. He will give you a tablet which you will need to take to Terry Balando (the Archaeological Expert) at the Digsite. Do so, and the Expert (now Terry Balando) will give you a book.

Gather all materials listed above, and bring the coins, 12 magic logs, 6 steel bars, 6 molten glass, ashes, charcoal, a blood rune, and regular bones to the desert. It is ok if the items are noted so travel to the bedabin camp again and talk to the Archaeologist. He will tell you to investigate this mystery.
Go south until you reach a place with bandits level 55. Talk to a man named Eblis near the eastern building at the Bandit Camp. He will tell you to give you some items. Use the items you brought on him (REMEMBER TO USE THE BONES ON HIM, DON'T BURY THEM). After you've done that, Travel south-east of the Bandit Camp and you will see a small mountain with 6 mirrors on it and Eblis in the center. Talk to Eblis and then look into all the mirrors. You have now completed the first part of Desert Treasure.

It doesn't matter what order you beat the bosses in, just gather the diamonds.

Dessous: I suggest a cannon, maybe 30 cannonballs, normal range armor, around 50 rune arrows, and sharks.

Talk to Malak, in the Canifis Pub. He will make you a deal, he will tell you where Dessous is in return for killing him. Dessous is southeast of the pub. Then he will tell you how to kill him. First bank everything you can wear, and get your silver bar and spice. Then travel to Draynor Village and go in a trapdoor directly north of Draynor Market. After you walk foward for awhile, you will see an anvil on your minimap and a hooded, masked, and pale-skinned creature. Talk to him and he will use your silver to make an offering pot. Go to Entrana and talk to the Head Priest at the church and he will bless your pot. Go back to Malak and talk to him. Be warned he will hit you for 5 damage to get some fresh blood (what a nice guy). Add the spice to it and you're all set to kill Malak.

Get the weapons/equipment listed above and follow this map:

Set up and your cannon, load, and fire it. Use the blessed offering pot with blood in it on the coffin and Dessous will jump, quickly run to the spot designated on the map and Dessous will also be in that place. The cannon will probably kill it in less thatn 10 seconds, but just in case he attacks you, run to the other side of the fence and just keep attacking him. I killed him at 76 range without even eating.

After Dessous is dispatched of, go back to Malak and you will get the Diamond of Blood, congratulations!

Kamil: A friend to block Kamil, lure
ice trolls, and lure ice wolves away from you. Also I'd say around 8 super restores will do fine, runes for about 400 fire bolts or blast, and normal mage armor for your defense level. A cannon and to be safe around 600 cannonballs.

Here is one of the most challenging bosses. Bring about 5 super restores, 200 fire bolts, normal mage armor, your cannon+600 cballs, and a chocolate cake.

Here is a map from RuneHq to assist you.

Talk to the troll child and give him the chocolate cake. (remember not to eat it!) He will tell you a "bad man" (Kamil) took the diamond. Go through the gate and set up your cannon past the rock. Load it, but don't fire yet! If you have a friend, have him lure as many ice trolls as he can near you. Then fire it and cast fire bolt on one of the trolls. Reload the cannon as you need and remember to use your restore potions and food as you need to. When you've killed 5, you are ready to go further. But I high suggest you go back and restock on potions, food and runes.

After you have restocked, go back to the ice gate, and have your friend WALK past the ice trolls and wait there for a while. Walk AROUND the trolls and the rocks and to the cave, both of you go through. Follow your friend past the ice trolls so that the ice wolves (level 154) attack him instead of you. Here is a map.

BE SURE THAT YOUR FRIEND IS STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO THE ROCK, AND YOU ARE STANDING RIGHT BEHIND HIM!

Kamil will automatically align himself with the map and it will be easy to rip him apart with whatever spell you're using. He hits nothing with his magic attack so as long as your friend and you stay there and you keep attacking, you will be fine. Remember to pot and eat when you need to and in no time you will have defeated Kamil. Remember to right click on Kamil when attacking him.

After Kamil is dead, have your friend give you all the food he has and get out of there or follow you on the ice trail. When you've seeming run into a dead end, click around the minimap, and be careful not to go backwards. Sometime later you should see a huge path of ice, click on the beginning and keep walking, let your stats drop to 0, it doesn't matter as long as you still have some potions and food. When the ice trail ends, there should be a gate and a bridge. Go through the gate and across the bridge and there should be 2 ice blocks. Drink a restore potion and hit 10 damage on both of them and when you're done with the conversation, you will have obtained the ice diamond!

Fareed: Bring a rope, like 5 or 6 super energies, a tinderbox, mage gear, around 50 snares/entangles, and 100 waterblasts/waves, and a FACEMASK. You can buy a facemask at your local slayer master.

One of the easier bosses, it would not be hard for anyone with any pking experience, a decent comp, and a decent internet conncection to do this.

The smoke well is directly west of the mirrors of Eblis. I think there is a rope there but I would bring a rope just in case. Be sure to be wearing your facemask as you enter!

Use this map (thanks again to Runehq) to go through the dungeon and get the warm key.

Brown path is where you go forwards and back. This is actually very easy and I defeated Fareed before the torches started going out.

After you go the the room with the chest, open the chest and get the key. Get ready and to the room with a gate on it. WHen you're all set, go through the gate and QUICKLY run to the far side of the room and bind Fareed. It looks like the spell splashed, but he will stay there, so don't worry. Just mage him until he starts walking again, then bind him again, run away, and mage him. When you're in a corner or backed into one side, bind him and run to the other side of the chamber. Do this until Fareed is dead and you will have the Smoke Diamond!

Damis: 50-60 snares, 200 earth blasts, normal mage gear. SHARKS, and 1 or 2 friends to block and lure monsters away for you.

By far Damis is the hardest of the bosses. Sharks are highly reccomended and I do not see how you will beat this part without it. Even with prayer Damis is incredibly hard as he drains prayer extremely fast.

*NOTE DAMIS HAS 2 FORMS. After you kill the first one, don't just stand there, run farther away, as the 2nd form will attack you.

To start this part, travel northwest of Ardougne, south of Baxtorian Falls and near the moss giants. You will come across a merchant called Rasolo. Ask him about the Shadow Diamond and he will tell you about the Ring of Visibility and how his gold cross was stolen and is at the bandit camp.

Bring desert gear (no god stuff), I'd say about 1 antipoison, 1 waterskin, 2 cakes, and the rest lockpicks. Travel to the bandit camp and south of the bar is a small tent with a chest in it. Try and picklock and you will go through 3 locks. If you fail one, you will be poisoned, take damage, and sometimes you lockpick will break. Hopefully you will succeed the first trip, but I have had friends go 3 times until they suceceeded. After you get the cross, go back to Rasolo and give to him. He will give you a Ring of Visibility.

Now to fight Damis. Take normal mage gear, runes mentioned above, and your friends. Have your friends go in first, and then go in and follow them. Here is a map, courtesy of RuneHq.

Code:

[img]http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/1726/damislairmapys1.png[/img]

After you follow your friends through the dungeon, have one of them go through the dungeon first and lure all the monsters away from the center and into one of the corners. THE LURER SHOULD NOT KILL ANY OF THE MONSTERS. Then have your other friend go in and stand somewhere in the center of the lair. Then run in and snare Damis. Rune and stand a few steps behind your friend and wait until Damis walks into your friend. He should be trapped. Just Earth Blast it until Damis is dead.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* This might not work 100% of the time. That is why you should have extra snares. If Damis goes through your friend, just snare him and try again. Or if you get tired of trying, just snare, run, and earth blast.

Congratulations! You now have all 4 diamonds!

Pyramid: Bring the diamonds, 1 Antipoison (superantis not necessary), I'd say around 12 super energies and the rest should be sharks. Try to have a negative weight with spotty capes, boots of lightness, and no armor or weapons. The lower your weight, the better chance you have of making it.

Bring all items listed above and talk to Eblis once again. He will tell you about a pyramid to the south. Go there and you will see a pyramid with 4 pillars. Use the diamonds on the pillars, each diamond corresponds to one of them. Just keep trying. Besides, the colors match. When you're done, go up the stairs and open the door.

You will have to run through 4 levels of mazes, each harder than the other. STUDY THESE MAPS FROM RUNEHQ BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Code:

[img]http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/1667/pyramidmaptv4.png[/img]

Just run through it and drink your energy potions whenever you go below 50% energy. Eat when you are low health but no matter what, KEEP RUNNING. Sometimes you will suddenly stop moving, that is because scarabs or a mummy appeared, just click on the place you were going again.

The most annoying part of the pyramid is unarguably the pitfalls. Mostly happening when you stop running, it makes you start over. Just hope that you don't get one.

When you are done, you will reach a large room with a purple thingy.

Talk to it and you will complete Desert Treasure!

Congratulations!

If you have any corrections, anything I was wrong about, whatever, feel free to post them.
